As the old is ringing out giving way to the New, Prasanthi Nilayam is abuzz with celebrations galore. As is the tradition over the years, the student fraternity, both old and new, is sharing the honours celebrating the advent of the New Year. The morning proceedings commenced with a Brass Band display by the Institute Band followed by recitation of His 108 Names, Sri Sathya Sai Ashtothara Shata Navavali. Addressing the august morning assembly during the occasion, Sri Bharat Sethuraman from the batch of 1996 – 98 then shared some of the invaluable lessons learnt at His Feet during his tenure as a student at the hallowed ‘Prasanthi’ precincts. Duty is Divine, said the speaker, asking fellow pilgrims to do their best to complete any ordained task by The Master. One needs to approach Him sans any expectation or preplanning to win His grace of attention. The New Year resolution in His Presence should be to practise His teachings in day-to-day life to make them a part of the life, summed up Bharat assuring the audience of His protecting grace that would follow. Sri Bharat Sethuram is currently CFO at Thai Bank, Bahrain and also the National President of SSIO, Kingdom Of Bahrain.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
