Age Kali’s hoodwinking tactics has an answer in the form of Sri Sathya Sai ‘Educare’ model. As the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini celebrations reached its fourth and final evening in Prasanthi Nilayam today, students from fifteen Vidya Vahini Schools across India joined together presenting a unique ‘Educare’ based programme entitled – ‘Bhagavat Vani Bhagavata Vahini’, explaining the panacea of Sri Sathya Sai Education.
What exactly is Educare, the modern day educational gift of Lord Sri Sathya Sai? The presentation today delved on this subject, narrating the ‘Educare’ principle vide a Satsangh involving Shankaracharya along with his four major disciples with Lord Mahadev HimSelf, effectively enacting a virtual Sandeha Nivarini, clearing off doubts.
Episodes from the lives of Prahlada, Markandeya, Dharmaja, from the times of Jesus, Lord Rama and Vivekananda were shown as skits in the next more than one and-a-half-hour, laden with message galore.
Little Prahlada stood against his egocentric father Hiranyakashipu, challenging his foolish arrogance with unflinching faith in Lord Vishnu, only to be saved at His Hands, annihilating the demonic and Little Markandeya with his all-out surrender, duty-bound dedication could win over death, winning Lord Shiva’s blessings to become a Chiranjeevi. These episodes loaded with wisdom were followed by an episode from the Mahabharata, involving Bhagawan Sri Krishna and Dharmaja, the eldest of the Pandavas.
Caught up in utter predicament, wherein, the mighty Pancha Pandavas were left without a morsel of food, thus failing to feed even the holy guests during their exile, Dharmaja was finally targeted by his four brothers, blamed for his ‘over-enthusiastic’ adherence to dharma causing misfortune. Lamenting at Lord Krishna, holding on to His Name, a hapless Dharmaja at the nick of time remembered the secret mantra parted by Lord Krishna HimSelf that, “This Too Shall Pass”, be it happiness or misery, nothing is permanent in this world.
The story of Good Samaritans from the times of Jesus next depicted the supreme importance of being compassionate. Man should love all and serve all with a compassion filled heart.
Like a mother never gives up her child, even when humans fail to follow His message, still God does not leave them. Mahadev explains this to the four Shankaracharya disciple vide a Chinna Katha, exhorting to pretend, if unable to practise.
In the Chinna Katha, Kaivalya, an actor turned to pseudo-acting, owing to some wise counseling, was into acting as a saint, who never accepted anything, never spoke anything, but remained indicating that everything was a passing cloud. Kaivalyananda now, was a rejected actor otherwise, who ever wanted to become famous as an actor. After pretending for years, finally he became a true saint, that ‘he dropped the act of being a body, mind’ to become That.
Two more episodes, from the life of Hanuman, showing his oneness with Lord Rama that earned Him a ‘hug’ of acceptance from the Lord, and Vivekananda, who at the Feet of his Master Ramakrishna understood the Oneness of Godhood, were depicted airing the message of supreme wisdom.
All that man has to understand is His true nature, that He Is Chidananda Roopam Shivoham Shivoham… Various episodes this evening pointed towards this essential truth of oneness, echoing “Sab Ka Malik Ek”. A beautiful group dance on the song of wisdom “Na Punyam Na Papam… Chidananda Roopam Shivoham Shivoham” brought the curtain down, essentially reflecting the message of The Supreme Oneness.
Bhajans continued and the session came to a close with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
