Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha – Day 6
Wednesday, October 21st, 2015
Today, on the penultimate session of the Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha in Prasanthi Nilayam, Sri R Siddhartha from the Prasanthi Nilayam campus of SSSIHL spoke on the uniqueness of Sri Sathya Sai Avatar that was followed by a dance offering by the Prasanthi Dance Group.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Siddhartha dwelt on the three unique aspects of the Sai Avatar, which, according to him are: Tremendous (Mission), Mysterious (Powers) and Fascinating (HimSelf). With a plethora of anecdotes from the Sathya Sai saga, the speaker illustrated the three in detail, sprinkling wisdom galore that, never try to understand the Avatar, but experience Him. Came to Bhagawan’s ‘fold’ as a student much later in his life, Siddhartha had to initially rely on books to learn about Bhagawan. Commenting on the same, he reminded the audience, quoting Bhagawan Himself that, This Swami Cannot Be Understood Through Books. Sri Siddhartha wound up narrating a beautifully mysterious ‘dream-experience’ with a follow-up tale in actual life, involving a Nigerian experience of an old student, who is still an ‘alien’ to the speaker. The moral of the dream was, as indicated by Bhagawan, Wrong Is Always Wrong and Right Is Ever Right…
Sri Siddhartha is an alumnus of SSSIHL, done his MBA, and is currently teaching at the English Dept of Prasanthi Nilayam campus of SSSIHL.
Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed next, played on the public address system.
A dance programme entitled ‘Avatharana – Uddharana’ was the final programme, a colourful dance depiction of the various Avatars and Their uplifting mission on earth.
Touching upon the greater importance of the the Sathya Sai Avatarhood, in view of the Avatar Declaration Day, the presentation spoke about the unique bond of love between the Avatars and devotees, be it Sri Rama, Sri Krishna or Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai. Dealing with the subject ‘who is the greatest devotee’, the presentation beautifully depicted the unparalleled devotion exemplified by Hanuman and the Gopikas, reliving the colourful charm of eternal Divine romance. Students from various educational institutions of the Prasanthi Nilayam campus participated in the programme.
Earlier, the session commenced with a Vedic invocation by the students from the Prasanthi Nilayam campus, followed by an introduction.
Bhajans continued and the session ended with Mangala Arathi at 1845 hrs.
