Bhakti Neeranjanam… Dance Drama by Adilabad Devotees…
Sunday, February 22nd, 2015
Balvikas and Youth from Adilabad district of Telangana presented a Musical Dance Drama entitled “Bhakti Neeranjanam” last evening here at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam. The presentation was an offering by the devotees from the district on the sidelines of a 3-day Parthi Yatra. This is the 9th Parthi Yatra by the Adilabad devotees; over 1500 devotees are participating in this year’s Parthi Yatra.
The presentation, as entitled, was centered around the theme “Devotion”, illustrating snippets of incidents from the Dwapara time, highlighting, Supreme God’s unmatched love for His devotees. While devotees offer, as The Bhagavad Gita proclaims, Patram Pushpam Phalam Toyam – a leaf, a fruit, a flower etc… which originally belong to The Lord Himself, unto The Lord, etc., The Lord from His part, for the sake of His devotees, offers HIMSELF!!!
Presenting this theme, even as the drama unfolded, the audience along with “Bhagqawan Himself” was taken to the beautiful Dwapara time, illustrating some beautiful episodes, well illustrated. Some of the episodes were… Krishna’s Godly words of encouragement, “THIS TOO SHALL PASS” written on a leaf, to lift their spirits up at times of testing, the famous Romarishi episode wherein Bhagawan Krishna ‘pretends’ falling at the feet of the Pandavas, only to rescue them from the wrath of the Rishi and finally the episode depicting Krishna reinstating life into infant Parikshit. At every interval groups of Balvikas children forayed into the centre-stage singing glories of The Lord, gracefully dancing to the tunes of popular Telugu numbers.
The presentation ended with Sage Narada, in a celestial guest appearance, exhorting the Parthi Yatra contingent of the supreme significance of Bhagawan’s Mission, especially in the 90th year of His Advent. It is not the time to ponder over… it is time to practise, echoed the ‘sage’ words of the Deva Rishi.
Bringing the curtains down for the beautiful evening presentation, signifying the 90th year of His Advent, 90 devotees from district forayed in to the centre-stage, holding ‘lamps lit’, to the backdrop of a ‘Mangalam’ song.
Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1810 hrs.
