Parthi Yatra contingent of devotees from Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh presented a Musical Dance Drama entitled “Meera Madhuri” this evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam.
The offering by the Balvikas children of the district was based on the theme Krishna Bhakti as exemplified by Mira Bai, one of the most celebrated devotees of Lord Krishna. Colourfully donned and decorated beautiful little children dancing to the tunes of Mira bhajans made the presentation a rare audio-visual treat on the eve of the auspicious Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
Over 1200 devotees from the district are participating in the 2-day Parthi Yatra organised by the SSSSO district unit. Earlier, the session for the evening commenced at 1650 hrs. with an address by the District President of SSSSO, Sri VR Nageswara Rao enumerating various seva projects across the district by the SSSSO.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
