Grand Culmination of Ladies’ Day Celebrations…

Fifteen accomplished musicians pooled their talents together presenting a most alluring musical offering at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet this evening on the occasion of International ‘Sai’ Ladies’ Day here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. This was followed by a scintillating Dance Ballet presentation by the tiny tots of Bhagawan’s Primary School.
Earlier, the session commenced at 1650 hrs with the Anantapur Band ‘Sai Melodies’ beating melodic numbers, heralding the commencement of the session.
Commencing the proceedings, two of the Founding Trustees of Sri Sathya Sai Easwaramma Women’s Welfare Trust addressed the august assembly, sharing their perceptions on, and experiences with, Bhagawan.
Speaking first, Mrs. Mallika Srinivasan reflected on the values that He has placed in the area of women development and the role of women in the propagation of a more humane society. Bhagawan has actively encouraged women to excel in their respective field, said the speaker sharing a personal experience from the summer of 2005.
During adversity one tends to feel that Bhagawan has distanced away, but He does it only to help His devotee face the adversity with fortitude. If you place your complete faith in, God you will secure grace. Grace alleviates the pain of Karma.
Speaking on the qualities women are endowed with, the speaker exuded great confidence in fellow Sai sisters, saying ‘Sai women are well equipped to play their roles in Swami’s Divine plan. ‘Sai women need to spread themselves to serve with love…. Service is the best way in which women can participate in the Divine plan’, said Mrs. Srinivasan, explaining the service package being offered by EWWT, most selflessly.
Recollecting Bhagawan’s words that, ‘Women of virtue and culture alone can have the power to transform the world’, Mrs. Mallika Srinivasan concluded placing a prayer of surrender at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet.
Mrs. Mallika Srinivasan is a long-time devotee, Founder Trustee of Easwaramma Women’s Welfare Trust, and a successful businesswoman/industrialist, currently Chairwoman cum Chief Executive Officer of TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited.
He is a cohesive force that unites all thread that weaves through the fabric of universe. He is Love void of all conditions, reflected Ms Chetana Raju, speaking next, presenting her finer theory on the mystic phenomenon called Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Any attempt to describe Him would be a futile exercise, rather one must ‘listen to Him, as He Himself reflected in the illustrious letter addressed to His physical brother, explaining His Mission, opined the speaker. The essence of Him is impersonal in nature and He is void of any perspective and identity.
In a complex world with multifarious options, people have discovered an order, in which they reposed confidence and that is Sri Sathya Sai Baba, exclaimed the speaker hailing the evergreen Mission of the ever mysterious Divine Phenomenon of Sri Sathya Sai.
A musical ensemble followed, participated by 15 accomplished musicians presenting an evening of Melodic Beauty. Participants were, Mrs. Sangeeta Shivakumar, Ms Bombay Jayashree, Ms Gayatri Venkataraghavan, Sri Prasanna Venkataraman, Sri Sandeep Narayan, Sri Sikkil C. Gurucharan, Sri Vijay Shiva, Ms Amrita Murali, Ms Nithyashree Mahadevan, Sri S. Kannan, Sri Manoj Shiva, Sri N. Guru Prasad, Sri B.V. Bala sai, Sri Ganapati Raman and Sri Harihara Sharma.
Repositories of budding ‘Stree Shakti’ – women power, little girls from the Sri Sathya Sai Primary School always rise up to the occasion, presenting their hearts out for their Beloved Swami. This evening was no different as the tiny tots in coloured pattern, danced their way to the Ultimate Divine Heart, presenting a series of dance ballets, illustrating His ‘Avatara Vaibhavam’. Children with metal pots on the head, danced with dexterity, exhibiting great level of maturity and self-confidence.
The session continued with bhajans by the Primary School students and ended at 1935 hrs. with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
