New Extension Block at the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital…

A new extension block for the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospitals, one of the first Temples Of Healing by Bhagawan, was pressed into service on 23rd October morning in a special function held at the hospital premises. Prof. (Dr.) M.C.Misra, Director, AIIMS, New Delhi presided over the function.
Commemorating the occasion a special Yajna was conducted from 0500 hrs to 0900 hrs invoking the Divine Presence. Subsequently Dr Misra unveiled the plaque, formally inaugurating the new block.
Addressing the audience, Dr VK Varma, Medical Superintendent of SSSGH, dwelt on the legacy of the hospital recounting the invaluable service done over the past six decades. Dr Varma also touched upon the various initiatives and facilities of holistic care provided at the hospital.
Sri SS Naganand, Trust Member, SSSCT, who addressed next touched upon the impact made by the Sathya Sai hospitals, recounting how the public in general are voluntarily inspired to support the activities.
Appreciating the yeomen service done by the hospital, Dr Misra, the Chief Guest, spoke about a possible tie-up between AIIMS and Sathya Sai Hospitals, in order to propagate ethical and value based medical care filled with compassion.
A felicitation function followed next, honoring eight staff members who have been rendering honorary service for over thirty years.
Sri Ramesh Wadhwani, President, Prasanthi Trust in the United States delivered vote of thanks and the programme concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
Incidentally, this is the 60th year of service for this Sathya Sai Medicare mission.
Subsequently, Dr Misra, the Guest of Honour had a round of visit at the twin blocks of the Temple Of Healing.
