Sai Padhama Lo Nava Bharatham – Drama by Vizag Youth…
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015
Love for India – the Motherland, formed the central theme, when the Vizag Sai Youth presented a Musical Dance Drama entitled “Sai Padhama Lo Nava Bharatham” (New India in the Sai Way) today, during the 4th evening of the ongoing Parthi Yatra of AP-TS here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.
It is unworthy of our people to give up their culture, their way of living, and their principles solely for making a living by selling their services to foreigners. This is totally un-Indian, said Bhagawan once, discoursing on the unsavoury ‘western’ trend of the current generation. This evening’s presentation made an attempt to expose this appalling ‘fashionable’ malady, suggesting a remedy through the ‘Sai Way’.
How disastrous could the western ‘fashionable’ influence become affecting the Mother and the Motherland?
The drama opens up with a ‘warring’ dialogue between two sides – a patriot Master, who, with his undying passion for Mother India sings ‘her’ eternal glory, versus two of his students, who have become un-Indian, owing to the western influence. Subsequently, the Master’s attempt to convince and convert the polluted minds brings in a flurry of beautiful scenes from India’s rich cultural and historical past.
Stories of Ram Prasad Bismil, who heroically fought the British imperialism, so too, India’s evergreen spiritual hero Vivekananda and others grandly paraded in distinct episodes presenting the pulsating India Love Story. As a finale, the Sai Youth pitch in, deliberating the holistic convincing vision of Nava Bharatam, enlightening the wayward protagonists of the of the greater glory of Indian culture.
Beautiful songs and dance sequences as interludes exuding stirring nationalistic content made the presentation a brilliant patriotic saga at the hallowed Prasanthi precincts.
