Sunday, September 13th, 2015
Madhya Pradesh – Chhattisgarh Parthi Yatra concluded this evening with twin cultural offerings here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. Prahlad Tipania’s devotional concert first was followed by a musical dance drama by the Youth and Balavikas of Madhya Pradesh.
Kabir Panthis are sung all over India, especially in the North, by Hindus and Muslims alike, by Folk, Classical and Sufi singers. Prasanthi Nilayam has time and again witnessed many wonderful drama presentations on the illustrious life and teachings of the mystic Saint. This evening was different, turned out to be an exclusive one on the SadhGuru, singing paeans of praise for the Supreme Teacher, at the very Lotus Feet of the SadhGuru – Sri Sathya Sai.
Commencing the session at 1650 hrs, popular folk singer Prahlad Singh Tipania set the ball rolling in the wonderful ‘Prasanthi’ evening today, presenting an enlivening session of ‘Kabir Panthi Bhajans’.
Popularly known as ‘Nirgun Bhajans’, the programme was intertwined with meaningful commentary, explaining the purport behind every bhajan. Charged up, Tipania Ji along with a host of accompanists presented a mellifluous series of renditions, loaded with power-packed wisdom.
Nirgun Bhajans Sampradaya is based on the Nirgun philosophy that dwells on the path that goes beyond the physical form of worship, where the Almighty is adored and worshipped sans any attributes. Summing up the essence of the Kabir philosophy in a short, saying ‘without the SadhGuru there is none’, Tipania Ji then broke out singing the famous Prasanthi bhajan “Hari Bhajana Binaa Sukha Shanti Nahin…”, concluding on a high.
Youth along with Balavikas children from Madhya Pradesh then presented a musical dance drama entitled ‘Narmada Gatha’ on the legend of the holy River Narmada. Narmada is considered as a Divine ‘package’ on Mother Earth, streaming abundant blessings from the Greater Heaven. Born out of Lord Shiva, Holy Narmada streams between Amarkantak to Omkareshwar and in this ‘Eternal Journey’,
She has hosted some of the most potent spiritual episodes of ancient, spiritual India, namely Shankaracharya’s meeting up with his ‘guru’, the birth of Narmadashtakam, Shankaracharya’s victory, in the famous debate, over Mandana Mishra, etc.
Stressing on the importance of respect and reverence towards the five elements, the presentation made a concluding remark, a highlighting reference, on the greater need for cleanliness drive, keeping the holy River sanitized.
126 Youth and Balavikas children participated in the evening programme.
Bhajans continued and the session concluded with Mangala Arathi at 1850 hrs.
