Adoration in Musical Language…

Presenting an evening of adoration in classical melodic language, the music fraternity at the Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music, Prasanthi Nilayam presented a soulful musical offering entitled “Pranavaswarupa Sai” this evening here at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet, in Prasanthi Nilayam.
The special offering was a dedication to The Master, Whose relentless inspiration and guidance and Supreme Will resulted in the inception of the very musical institution, Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music, in ‘God’s Own Land’ at Prasanthi Nilayam.
The concert began at 1700 hrs with a ‘Bhajagovindam…” composition in Ragamalika set to Adi Talam. “Sai Murari Vanamali Giridhari…” in Raag Puria Dhanasri in Teental next was followed by a stimulating Sathya Sai composition “Ninnu Bhajiyinthu Neeradamu Sai…” in Raag Shankarabharanam, Adi Talam. A lively, captivating instrumental ensemble followed next, with Carnatic Veena, Sitar, Mridangam and Tabla coming together, in Ragamalika, Teen/Adi Tal before the final number, a Marathi Abhang, “Jana Vijana Zhale Amha…” in Raag Chandrakauns.
Bhajans continued and the session came to a close with Mangala Arathi at 1815 hrs.
