A Special Evening by AP-TS Balvikas…

There is something special in Your Love that draws us closer to You… sang the children today as the AP-TS Parthi Yatra reached day 2 evening here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. Two speeches and a series of cultural offerings were the highlights of the graceful august evening today.
The session commenced at 1740 hrs with a talk by Kum. Sai Sahithi of Timpani High School, Vizag. Speaking in Telugu on the subject ‘Love of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’, the 8th standard girl touched upon Bhagawan’s all-conquering love and compassion linking to some of the interesting episodes from His Story.
Addressing next, Master Sai Hruday Pidatala, a 10th standard student from Little Flower High School, Hyderabad, spoke on the ‘Advent and Mission of Sri Sathya Sai’. Representing the confident generation, he began, “At rocket speed, in just nine years, Swami, You made us understand…” enumerating on the greater values a student imbibes through Balvikas.
Calling the day’s event a Maha Maha Pushkaram, Master Hruday gave a pledge to Swami on behalf of the fraternity, to ‘walk the path laid by Bhagawan’ in His mission ahead. He signed off with a prayer, seeking blessings instantly, constantly and abundantly.
A couple of beautiful dance offerings by the Khammam Balvikas followed subsequently, after which over 2000 children sang in chorus a series of paeans for Bhagawan, while wonderfully showcasing a programme entitled Connecting Lives The Sai Way.
Beginning with ‘Sri Ganesha Shivuni Kumara…’ the programme flowed on with “Tuu Pyaar Ka Sagar Hey…”, ‘Hum Tumhara Liye…” to name a few.
Talented ‘blossoms’ of Balvikas bared their hearts and souls after this, presenting a scintillating instrumental offering titled ‘Our Hearts Beat For You Today, Tomorrow and Ever After’. An ensemble of geniuses, if one could call it, this group of children, adept in playing a range of instruments, recreated some scintillating tones in the next half-an-hour, playing with amazing dexterity. Their repertoire included a bhajan medley along with some popular solos.
Bhajans followed concluding with Mangala Arathi at 1815 hrs.
