Avatar Declaration Day…

20 October 1940…this was a Red-Letter Day chosen by the Avatar of this Age, nay the Avatar for all ages, the Para Brahmam – The Timeless Divinity to declare His Avataric Mission on planet Earth, as Sri Sathya Sai.
It was on this day that the Young Sathya throwing His school books away, declared that “He belongs to His devotees…” …beginning the epochal saga of Ari Sathya Sai Avatar.
Pointing and pondering over the greateness of Avatar Declaration students offered a programme unfurling the most enchanting story of The Divine, The Sathya Sai Bhagavatam in nutshell last evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Commencing the programme at 1650 hrs. in typical Prasanthi style, with a couple of comperors dwelling on the greater glory of The Day, the next one hour witnessed the unravelling of the glory, with each pair of students narrating different facets of Bhagawan’s Avatarhood, namely, Birth…childhood…Divine Sport…Messages and finally to Blessings… The programme had beautiful musical insertions reminscing the glory of Bhagawan, some of them His own compositions…
Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1830 hrs.
