Friday, March 29th, 2013
Continuing with the Holi celebrations devotees from the twin states of Bihar & Jharkhand offered a ‘Dance-interspersed-Musical offering’ on the 28th March evening in Prasanthi Nilayam.
The programme that commenced after 20 minutes of Rudram chanting had the State Choir singing live, with Balvikas children dancing to the tunes intermittently.
After the Ganesha offering, even as the troupe began with “Adi Sakthi… Sai Sakthi…” invoking the Divine Parents, Balvikas children burst into the scene dancing to the tunes, adding colour and light into the evening.
Songs continued with “Hey Deena Dayala Sai Ram…”, “Jhar Jungole…” a song cum dance depicting the spiritual and natural beauty of Jharkhand, illustrating its tribal culture. “Swarnayug Sai Ka Aaya…” was the next number, an illustration of The Era Of Sai, followed by a Sufi number, “Arey Moula Tumhara Kya…”, a depiction of Bhagawan’s Avataric philosophy. “Parthiwale Aaja Teri Yaad Sataye…” was a touching number, expressing the pangs of separation at His physical absence…asking “Where Are You hiding my Lord…?”
A beautiful dance cum song bringing the nostalgic Dwapara memories, of the Eternal Love Story of Radha and Krishna, depicting Raas Nrutya was the final number, well received by the assembly. Balvikas children burst into the scene at the end, singing and dancing Holi Hey…Holi Hey…adding the magic of colours to the illustrious evening.
At the end of the presentation, all the children were felicitated with special gifts. Bhajans by the state troupe continued and ended with Thursday Special, Om Shivaya…Om Shivaya…
Prasadam was distributed to the entire assemblage and Mangala Arathi was offered at 1845 hrs. marking the end of the session.
