Shivamogga Prema Yatra and Carnatic Recital…

As part of two-day Prema Yatra by devotees from Shivamogga district of Karnataka, Vidwan Sri Sringeri Nagaraj HS and Troupe presented a Carnatic Offering entitled Sri Sai Sankeerthanam this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam. The hour-long presentation had nine compositions, including that of Saint Thyagaraja, Saint Puranadaradasa and Meera Bhai in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi respectively. Serenading The Lord with soulful rendering Vidwan Nagaraj and Troupe signed off with a traditional Mangalam song of Thyagaraja composition, ‘Nagumomo galavani…’in Madhyamavadhi raga.
The singer and accompanists were felicitated by Senior Trust officials at the end of the presentation. Prasadam was distributed to the entire assemblage.
A newly set up ‘Permanent Video Projection System’ for the convenience of devotees present in Sai Kulwant Hall will be commissioned tomorrow morning, in a function held at 0900 hrs. at the end of one-hour Veda chanting. This is to facilitate convenient screening of all programmes held in Sai Kulwant Hall.
In the evening, at 1650 hrs., Sai Kulwant Hall will witness a special programme entitled “The Uniqueness and inseparable bond of Bhagawan and His students” presented by members of Sai Sannidhi, forum of former students working with various institutions in Prasanthi Nilayam and Brindavan.
