Easwaramma Day and Maha Narayana Seva

This day (6th May 2011) being Easwaramma Day and the 13th day after Bhagawan shed His mortal coil and stayed established as the all-pervading Universal Consciousness, a special function was arranged in the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium to serve the special guests who had assembled in tens of thousands from the nearby villages. These guests who provide us the opportunity to serve are no less than Narayana Himself and hence this function is rightly named as Maha Narayana Seva. On this auspicious day this activity was also carried out in many centres of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations around the world.

Collective Harmony in the heart of Parthi…beyond caste, colour, religion – a rare example of unity…
When the cherished One allows Himself to be admitted to the ICU of SSSIHMS, the Cosmos watches with bated breath as to what He has written next in the divine play, for only He knows the script and He is the Director Supreme in this Cosmic drama. What is known to us is that devotees the world over – in every village, city, home and heart are praying to Him… for Him. For a change, there is a selfless prayer in every heart, mind and soul, an ardent appeal, a passionate plea, in all humility, with pure love replete…that goes beyond any personal benefit or selfish need…a prayer that asks Beloved Bhagawan to cure Himself…as He has done with millions over the last eight decades of this Avatarhood.

How Bhagawan Suffered for a Devotee’s Sake!

In the December of 1970, Bhagawan travelled to Panaji, the capital city of Goa stopping en route in the town of Dharwar in Karnataka. In Panaji, a strange and mysterious turn of events took place, which afforded His devotees another glimpse into His Divine nature. In fact, just prior to this incident, Prof. N. Kasturi, Bhagawan’s biographer, was to start for Sri Lanka, as Swami had blessed him earlier to address the Sai Centres there. But, all of a sudden, Bhagawan commanded him to cancel his visit and accompany Him to Goa instead. For what happened next is narrated in the most wonderful manner by Prof. Kasturi in the third volume of Sathyam Sivam Sundaram.

23-March-2011 – Bhagawan blessing Sevadal from across India

This evening Bhagawan emerged at 1850 hrs. and headed into the Poornachandra Auditorium. Outgoing batch of sevadals, an all India batch, was seated in the auditorium for special blessings. Coming on to the special dais, Bhagawan blessed the prasadam for distribution. Even as prasadam went for distribution, Bhagawan came down for His usual round of blessing. read more »
