Meri Maa – A Poem
Sunday, July 10th, 2011
Repeating the Universal Prayer, “Samastha Lokaah…”, we reiterate our love for Beloved Mother Sai enveloping all beings in Lord’s pink loving hue, writes Ms. Jullie Chaudhary asking the humanity, that is at the crossroads, to pause, reflect, introspect and think…It’s high time for humanity to recognise HIM and act, who donned the garb of a human while being completely Divine!
Palkho mey chhupi hai ansoon Terey liye,
Dilmey samaa hai pyar Terey liye,
Ankhen taras rahi hai darshan ke liye,
Yaad aati hai lamhe beetey huey,
Kuch baatein, kuch yadein, mulakatey,
Maa, Teri yaad aati hai,
Sai Maa teri Yaad aati hai…
Oh, its time again to press the pause button and think,
Are we in or out of sync?
How far have we allowed ourselves to sink?
Pause, reflect, introspect, think…?
Is it enough to just chant and pray,
Unmindful of senses that wander and stray,
Ignoring the teachings of the Lord over decades gone by,
We hear but do we listen to Mother Sai?
How far have we allowed ourselves to sink?
Pause, reflect, introspect, think…?
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high,
That is where we are being lead by Beloved Sai,
Alas, do we really care?
Are we giving Him our hundred percent, doing our share?
How can He lead if we don’t comprehend or follow?
Though the soil is fertile we don’t blossom or grow…
The vastness of the soul we do ignore,
When we hear the Lord knocking but we don’t open the door…
How far have we allowed ourselves to sink?
Pause, reflect, introspect, think…?
Time and tide wait for no man,
While man in his ignorance disregards the divine plan,
Attracted and distracted,
By tinsel and trash, the material and the mundane,
Relegating God to the confines of a picture frame,
Immersed in the routine way of things,
Overlooking the immortal message the Messiah brings,
How far have we allowed ourselves to sink?
Pause, reflect, introspect, think…?
The non – stop onslaught of man shakes the Universe,
The wounds of Mother Earth no one has time to nurse,
The heart of the Cosmos feels the pain,
With excessive desires and greed humanity does itself stain,
Though the Lord stands in front of mankind,
The claws of self indulgence has affected it blind,
Man was supposed to be kind – one of a kind,
But selflessness and compassion had no place in his mind,
His soul had gone dry,
Seers. sages and the wise did with regret sigh,
Exclaim and question –
‘How much more, why…?
Humankind exists in the universal form – my, oh my!
The heart that bore it all – is the heart of Mother Sai…’
How far have we allowed ourselves to sink?
Pause, reflect, introspect, think…?
All of humanity has received a jolt now,
A remedy we must find somehow,
A pledge we must make with absolute sincerity,
To the One Who came only to set us free,
Where have we gone wrong?
Why do our notes not match the Divine song,
Why are we so out of sync, out of tune?
From the flow of His love,
How can we remain untouched and immune?
When He awaits us how can we look away?
Why should our focus from Him stray?
Why can’t we do our bit, our share?
What stops us from adopting compassion, concern and care,
With which Bhagwan reaches out to all,
All creatures great and small?
Why can’t we stop all that we do,
And do what He wants us to?
His presence, have we taken for granted then?
When will we our ways mend, when?
What have we done or not done?
Or perhaps have left undone?
How far have we allowed ourselves to sink?
Pause, reflect, introspect, think…?
Have we squeezed the heart of the Universe dry?
Have we paid heed to the call of Mother Sai?
Let us pool our efforts, set goals and earnestly comply,
Get our act together, reapply, and intensely try,
The Cosmic Heart has put forth a question,
Let us give a genuine and convincing reply,
Pause, reflect, introspect, think,
From old patterns of living de – link,
Get into sync and re – link,
Save ourselves before we sink,
Pledge our life to the One Who gave us life – Mother Sai,
Who is the answer to everything, each and every ‘Why?’
A Saviour, a Messiah,
Who has come to elevate us – take us higher,
Together let us work for the welfare of all beings, me and you,
Samastha Lokaah Sukhino Bhavantu,
This pleases our Lord and is axiomatic ally true,
When we pray – ‘Samastha Lokaah Sukhino Bhavantu’,
We are saying – Mother Sai, we love You,
All beings are then covered in the Lord’s pink loving hue,
Ah! Indeed what a blissful view,
Samastha Lokaah Sukhino Bhavantu,
From the ways of our Lord let us take our cue,
For that, dear brothers and sisters is our due…
Tum ko dekha to yeh khayal aaya,
Zindagi dhoop Tum ghana chaya,
Oh Sai Maa,
Tum ko dekha to yeh khayal aaya,
Tum sey humney, Maa sub kuch paya,
Tum ko dekha to yeh khayal aaya,
Ek dhrishya sey Maa, zindagi paya,
Tum ko dekha to yeh khayal aaya,
Zindagi dhoop Tum ghana chaya,
Oh Sai Maa…
